A well-established security systems provider is looking for a Service Engineer to join their team covering retail client sites across Northern Ireland and occasionally the Republic of Ireland. This role focuses on service, maintenance and PPM work across large retail environments. Engineers must be comfortable working independently and occasionally assisting with small installation works where required.

Role Responsibilities

  • Service, maintenance and fault finding on security systems
  • Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) visits
  • Diagnose and repair system faults efficiently on client sites
  • Complete service reports and documentation
  • Occasional small installation works where required
  • Provide professional client-facing support across retail sites

Systems Experience

  • Intruder: Galaxy, ATS
  • CCTV: Hikvision, Hanwha, Genetec
  • Access Control: ACT, Paxton, C-Cure

Salary & Package

  • £15 – £19 per hour basic
  • £31,200 – £39,520 basic (based on 40 hrs)
  • Average earnings £42,900 – £54,340 based on typical travel hours (~55 hrs/week)
  • Overtime available
  • On-call allowance: £225 per week
  • Company vehicle & fuel card

Working Hours

  • 40 hour working week
  • On-call rota 1 in 5 weeks
  • Very low call-out rate
  • Flexibility required due to travel and retail client coverage

Annual Leave

  • 22 days annual leave rising to 26 days over 5 years
  • UK bank holidays (can be worked and accrued as additional leave)

Candidate Profile

  • 2–5 years’ experience in security systems service roles
  • Experience with intruder, CCTV or access control systems
  • Able to work independently on client sites
  • Strong fault-finding ability
  • Full driving licence required
  • Keen to develop and stay long-term with the business
