About Our Client

Our client is dedicated to excellence in project management, ensuring that every installation meets the highest standards. They are committed to supporting and developing our team members to reach their full potential. This is an exciting opportunity to grow your career with them as a Junior Project Manager.

Position Overview

This role would suit a Supervisor or PM used to working with multiple smaller projects with a quicker turnaround. If you have experience in the Retail sector that would be an advantage. Understanding of Security systems is a must, specifically IP CCTV, Intruder and Access Control.

You will oversee multiple installation projects, primarily within the London area but with occasional travel to other locations. You’ll be responsible for ensuring that each project is executed efficiently, safely, and in compliance with all company, client, and industry standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Compliance: Ensure all projects adhere to company and client-specific procedures, as well as NACOSS standards.
  • Cost Monitoring: Track and review financial expenses on projects weekly, generating monthly financial reports for the Project Manager.
  • Health & Safety: Maintain strict compliance with health and safety regulations across all project sites.
  • Communication: Liaise regularly with all project stakeholders to provide updates and address issues.
  • Issue Resolution: Work with the Senior Project Manager and Technical Services to solve technical issues as they arise.
  • Project Documentation: Prepare, organize, and manage all project documentation to support productive contract reviews and ongoing project assessments.
  • Programming & Scheduling: Develop accurate project schedules in alignment with tender specifications and main contractor timelines.
  • Document Control: Oversee the issuance and management of project drawings, ensuring all updates from “for approval” to “as fitted” stages are tracked.
  • Manuals & Testing: Coordinate thorough testing, commissioning, and issuance of operation and maintenance manuals upon project completion.
  • Project Handover: Ensure projects are fully signed off and handed over to the client, with a clear completion status.
  • Tender Review: Analyze tenders thoroughly before project launch, flagging any issues or concerns with the Project Manager.
  • On-Site Support: Provide support to Field Technicians on-site, addressing any queries or problems promptly.

What They’re Looking For

  • Experience: Previous project management or site coordination experience is useful, within the Security industry. Or previous hands-on Project Engineering experience within Installation will be considered.
  • Skills: Excellent organizational and communication skills; strong attention to detail and proactive problem-solving abilities. Ability to multitask is essential.
  • Knowledge: Familiarity with health and safety regulations and industry standards (NACOSS knowledge is a plus).
  • Attributes: Motivated and adaptable, with a strong desire to develop and grow in project management.

What They Offer

  • Comprehensive training and development opportunities
  • Supportive, collaborative work environment
  • Opportunities for career progression within the company
