This is a newly created position reporting directly to the Managing Director, offering the opportunity to play a key role in securing major projects across enterprise, corporate, data centre and critical infrastructure environments.

Initially, you'll be office-based in Hertfordshire, working closely with design, project delivery and commercial teams to gain a thorough understanding of the business, systems and processes. Once established within the role, you'll benefit from a flexible hybrid working arrangement built around trust, performance and project requirements.

The Role

As Estimator, you'll take ownership of the estimating and bid process for complex electronic security projects, supporting opportunities ranging from large-scale enterprise deployments through to high-value strategic accounts. You'll review tender documentation, specifications, RFQs and PQQs, build accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs), engage with manufacturers and suppliers, and work closely with internal stakeholders to produce commercially robust and competitive submissions. This is a highly visible position within the business, requiring someone who can confidently communicate with customers, lead discussions, challenge assumptions and take ownership of opportunities from enquiry through to submission.

Key Responsibilities

  • Produce accurate estimates and cost models for integrated security projects
  • Build and manage Bills of Materials (BOMs)
  • Review tender documents, specifications, drawings and scopes of work
  • Support RFQ, PQQ and tender submissions
  • Liaise with manufacturers, suppliers and internal technical teams
  • Identify project risks, assumptions and value engineering opportunities
  • Attend customer meetings and occasional site surveys
  • Support commercial decision-making and project strategy
  • Work closely with the Managing Director and wider leadership team

What We're Looking For

  • Previous experience within estimating, bid management or technical sales support
  • Strong understanding of CCTV, Access Control and integrated security systems
  • Experience producing BOMs and technical quotations
  • Ability to interpret specifications, drawings and project documentation
  • Commercially aware with strong attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam or similar platforms would be advantageous but not essential
