We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fire & Security Service Engineer to join a growing and well-established engineering team supporting MOD, NHS and critical infrastructure contracts across the North.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a business with low staff turnover, long-term contracts, a strong team culture, and genuine support from experienced engineers and management.
The Role
You will predominantly support MOD/RFCA sites across the North East region, working as part of a dedicated three-engineer team covering areas including Leeds, Hull, York, Newcastle and surrounding areas, with occasional support into the East Midlands and wider North. The role is heavily service and maintenance focused, including:
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPMs)
- Reactive fault finding and repairs
- Minor remedial and small works
- Supporting larger MOD and NHS sites where required
You will also support a large NHS site in the Hull area on a regular basis, working on networked Gent fire systems alongside another engineer.
Systems Experience Required
We are looking for multi-skilled engineers with experience across a broad range of systems, including:
- Fire Alarms
- CCTV (IP & Analogue)
- Access Control
- Intruder Alarms
- Intercom Systems
- Nurse Call Systems
- Pager Systems
- Gas Suppression Systems
Experience across both fire and security disciplines is highly desirable, however engineers with a strong bias in either discipline will still be considered.

What We’re Looking For
- Minimum 3 years’ experience within Fire & Security
- Strong service, maintenance and fault-finding background
- Willingness to travel across the North region when required
- Comfortable working independently and within a team environment
- Positive attitude and willingness to support across different systems and sites
Essential:
- CSCS / ECS Card
- IPAF 3a & 3b
- Full UK Driving Licence
- Health & Safety certifications/training
- Electrical isolation knowledge
- Ability to pass or already hold DBS / security clearance
Desirable:
- FIA qualifications
- Gent system experience
- IPAF 1b
- Experience on MOD, NHS or critical infrastructure sites
Ideally based between Leeds and Newcastle to support the existing engineering team.
