Project Engineer – Security

Salary: Circa £42,000 + flexibility DOEPackage: Company Car + Paid Travel + Overtime + Progression

We are working with an established Fire & Security systems integrator looking to appoint a Project Engineer across Birmingham and the surrounding Midlands.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Installation or Commissioning Engineer looking to take the next step in their career.

You don't necessarily need to already be a Project Engineer – the business is looking for someone technically strong who wants to develop their experience across project coordination, client management and leadership while remaining involved technically.

Key responsibilities will include

  • Overseeing and commissioning CCTV, Access Control, Intruder, Intercom systems.
  • Supporting and coordinating engineers and subcontractors on site.
  • Attending pre-start, coordination and client/contractor meetings.
  • Carrying out system testing, commissioning and post-installation inspections.
  • Managing customer handovers and delivering system training.
  • Providing technical support and guidance to engineers, including mentoring apprentices and trainees.
  • Working closely with Project Managers to identify and resolve technical or delivery issues.
  • Ensuring projects meet relevant British Standards, H&S requirements and client expectations.

What We're Looking For

Ideally, you'll already be working as a Senior Installation Engineer, Commissioning Engineer or experienced Security Engineer and be ready to take on more responsibility.

You'll need strong technical knowledge of electronic security systems, a logical approach to fault-finding and excellent communication and organisational skills.

A full UK driving licence and CSCS/ECS card are required.

Experience or qualifications involving Gallagher, IPAF, EUSR or IOSH would be advantageous but aren't essential.
