We are seeking a competent, experienced, and passionate Installation Manager to oversee the running of various security system (CCTV / Access / Intruder / Intercom) installations throughout the UK and occasionally abroad.
Average project values typically range from £10k for smaller works to £100k+ for larger projects.
Working as part of the Projects Delivery team, ensuring a range of concurrent installations are carried out to specification, on time, and on budget.
Working in accordance with ISO:9001 procedures and best practices, NSI codes of practice, BS5839-1:2013, and NSI Fire Gold.
The role:
- Complete pre-start project reviews with the Project Manager
- Create, review, and submit RAMS with assistance from Project Manager
- Manage/carry out pre-build & pre-configuration of equipment prior to installation
- Arrange site deliveries & subcontract labour in line with the project plan
- Manage onsite health & safety (inductions, permits, toolbox talks etc)
- Effectively manage multiple concurrent projects & subcontractors
- Manage/carry out onsite installation activities in line with the design and project plan
- Effectively communicate updates, activities and impacts to the client & Project Manager
- Measure project deliverables against the agreed specifications & design
- Manage, record & feedback installation quality with the installation team
- Complete and submit detailed timesheet using mobile app
- Escalate risks, issues, and variations to the Project Manager
- Escalate any technical problems/queries to internal Technical Services Department
- Manage/carry out full system testing during commissioning stages
- Record, manage and carry out snagging activities
- Manage/deliver end-user training and system handover
- Complete/update as-built documentation for O&M manuals
- Manage handover of completed projects to the Support department
- Complete post-project review with the Project Manager
What you'll have / be:
- Good experience in install management from this industry
- A good understanding and sound technical working knowledge of:
- Security-related system installations
- Electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical principles
- Basic networking principles
