We are currently recruiting for an experienced Bid Manager to join an established business within the enterprise security space. Based from the Reading office with hybrid working, this is a key role leading the full bid lifecycle, from initial review through to final submission.

Working closely with commercial, technical and project teams, you will take ownership of high-quality, compliant and commercially sound tender submissions, helping secure new business across large-scale and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the full bid process from bid/no-bid decision through to final submission
  • Review tender documentation, specifications and drawings
  • Coordinate internal teams and external partners to produce compliant, competitive bids
  • Develop bid strategies, pricing models and technical submission content
  • Ensure bids meet margin targets, quality standards and submission deadlines
  • Support site visits, surveys and client presentations where required
  • Maintain bid trackers, pipeline reporting and performance metrics
  • Manage and develop Bid Team Assistant support where applicable

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience in bid management, tender coordination or proposal management
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to balance risk, compliance and margin
  • Experience reviewing technical specifications and working with operational/technical teams
  • Excellent organisation, communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Ability to manage multiple live opportunities and tight deadlines
  • Experience within security, engineering, construction or technical services would be highly beneficial
