Responsibilities
- In these Monday to Friday Mobile Catering Supervisor posts, you would be responsible for all activities in the kitchen and its surrounds including cooking, organisation and supervision of food service.
- Supervising staff working in the kitchen.
- Ensure HACCP procedures are followed and that all paperwork and electronic returns are completed and submitted appropriately.
- Understand dietary and nutritional needs.
- Transporting and serving meals, general kitchen and dining room duties (washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables), and cleaning of the kitchen and surrounds.
- Working in a primary or high school setting in Dunfermline and surrounding areas with a high school as a base.
Qualifications
Catering experience and a qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds or equivalent are essential for this post. Training on In-House systems will be provided. Working towards an Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate will be essential once in post.
Requirements
Before confirming appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a team. You must be able to travel to numerous locations within the specified area at short notice. An Induction Training Day is required before starting in post.

- You will earn a competitive salary of £25,885.80 to £28,175.91 (pro rata) with access to a range of benefits.
- £13.79 per hour to start, plus extra payments for shift work, including weekends.
- Pay is annualised for a 38-week contract (equal instalments every 4-week pay period).
