Supporting Statement

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the operation of a 7‑day per week Meals on Wheels service within the designated geography.
  • Supervise Driver/Handler staff and deliver required training.
  • Select and regenerate meals according to the approved monthly menu cycle.
  • Conduct temperature checks and arrange for harmonised checks.
  • Perform regular stocktaking, end‑of‑month financial procedures, and reconcile meal/payment vouchers.
  • Manage clerical duties: maintain stock records, temperature check reports, delivery schedules, staff hours, holidays, sickness records, and other system data.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Preferable: Catering qualification (City & Guilds, SVQ or equivalent) and supervisory experience.
  • Full driving licence.
  • Must obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership via Disclosure Scotland.
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
  • Required to attend an induction training day before starting.
