Job Details

We are looking for a highly-skilled teacher passionate about improving life chances for all. As a teacher in Fife, you will be responsible for leading learning within your classroom context, promoting inclusion, diversity and equality, communicating with stakeholders and contributing to wider improvements across the school community.

Qualification, Registration and Skill Requirements

  • High levels of interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a team ensuring positive outcomes for children and young people.
  • Commitment to professional learning, demonstrating career‑long professional learning activity and its impact on practice.
  • Before confirming appointment, obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme.
  • Full General Teaching Council for Scotland (GTCS) registration.
  • For posts within Primary: fully registered with GTCS Primary.
  • For posts within Secondary: fully registered with GTCS Secondary for the specific subject.
  • Model all behaviour expected of a teacher in Scotland in line with professional standards.
  • Full registration required for all Permanent posts; provisional GTCS registration considered for temporary class teacher posts.
  • Teachers holding GTCS registration in Further Education must also hold Primary or Secondary registration to meet essential criteria.
