Overview

Assistant Cook role at Ziron Environmental Services, Inc. Location: Anstruther. Contract Type: Permanent. Working Pattern: 30 hours per week. Salary: £24,740.74 pro-rata. Closing Date: Tuesday 25 November 2025. Proposed Interview Date: Week Commencing Monday 1 December 2025.

Do you have a Catering Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent? We currently have a permanent vacancy in Anstruther at Ladywalk House Care Home.

Responsibilities

• Assist with preparation of food and beverages and organise the service of food, including understanding the requirements of special diets.
• Serve meals and perform general kitchen and dining room duties (e.g., washing up, setting up and clearing away equipment and tables).
• Clean the kitchen, its surroundings and equipment.
• Complete basic bookwork and electronic returns as required.

You will earn a competitive salary of £24,740.74 pro-rata and have access to a range of benefits, including:

This work is about ensuring the nursery children are provided with a service throughout the day as and when required.

The Person

Do you have Catering Experience or a Qualification such as an SVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent? Before confirming your appointment, you will be required to obtain Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme membership through Disclosure Scotland and become a member of the relevant PVG scheme. We particularly encourage applications from men, who are currently underrepresented within this type of work. Ability to provide a regular and effective service, working alone or as part of a Team. You will be required to attend an Induction Training Day before starting in post.
