Job Description
Are you looking for that new challenge or the opportunity to accelerate your career in a collaborative team, with a very healthy pipeline of projects in the infrastructure sector?
I am working closely with a well-established consultancy in London, looking for someone to join from Planner to Associate Planner level.
With an increasing pipeline of projects, you will be offered great exposure to an enviable roster of clients and could gain valuable experience in the booming renewable energy sector on major solar, BESS, hydro and wind schemes across the country.
You will be involved in (among other responsibilities):
- Assisting or leading on DCO projects, assisting in delegating and starting to take on leadership role
- Maintaining relationships with clients by providing accurate advice and communicating effectively
- Dealing with pre-applications and managing planning applications through the development process
- Communicating and negotiating with clients, stakeholders, and locals regularly
- Business development and working up your own client base, or bringing your own
- Attending meetings for Planning Committee, Consultations, and similar events in representation of both the Company and clients through the planning process
- Mentoring and helping to manage junior team members
You will ideally:
- Have at least three years within planning – ideally in consultancy
- Strong development management skillset and expertise
- Be MRTPI or equivalent
- Be a strong communicator with excellent written work
- A track record of working within planning in London
