We are seeking a Structural Engineer to work as a member of our vertical structures team in our Hartford, CT office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct independent field investigations and building assessments
  • Design and specify structural systems for new building construction and renovations
  • Utilize drafting software (AutoCAD and Revit) for project tasks.
  • Perform structural analysis of building systems
  • Review contractor submittals to ensure compliance with project requirements
  • Conduct field visits to document existing conditions before and during construction
  • Mentor junior staff on structural engineering tasks
  • Coordinate with other trades and disciplines on project activities

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architectural engineering; master’s degree in structural engineering
  • 3+ years of experience required, consulting experience
  • EIT certification required; PE certification or ability to obtain within 2 years
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
  • Experience with design and drafting using AutoCAD and Revit
  • Experience with concrete, steel, and timber design
