You will be responsible for overseeing stock and inventory control, visual merchandising (VM), logistics for in-store events, and supporting the sales team on the floor during peak periods. In addition to operational excellence, you will contribute to the business’s growth through strategic business development and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Back of House Operations:

  • Oversee the maintenance of inventory systems, ensuring accurate tracking and reporting.
  • Ensure that visual merchandising standards are met and maintained across all store areas.
  • Coordinate deliveries, storage, and stock organisation.

Event Logistics:

  • Take responsibility for the coordination and logistics of store events, including planning, set-up, and managing event-day operations.
  • Work with cross-functional teams to ensure events run smoothly and deliver positive brand experiences.

Floor Support:

  • Provide hands-on support on the sales floor during peak times, ensuring excellent customer service and driving team performance.
  • Assist with training and guiding the team in best practices for customer engagement.

Business Development & Strategy:

  • Contribute to the development and execution of business strategies to support store growth and customer acquisition.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to identify opportunities for improving sales performance, customer retention, and store profitability.

Health & Safety Compliance:

  • Ensure that all store operations comply with health and safety regulations, including stock handling and event activities.
  • Conduct regular audits and assessments to guarantee store cleanliness, safety, and operational standards are upheld.

What We Expect from You:

  • A proactive, hands-on leader with a strong background in retail operations and team management.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and competing priorities with efficiency and attention to detail.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills, with the ability to coordinate cross-functional teams and manage external vendors.
  • A passion for delivering excellent customer service and driving store success.
  • Comfort in navigating a fast-paced, dynamic environment with high event frequency.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think strategically.

Ideal Background & Experience:

  • Previous experience in a similar Operations Manager or Assistant Manager role, preferably within retail or hospitality, ideally in a high-end or lifestyle brand environment.
  • Proven ability in stock and inventory control, visual merchandising, event logistics, and customer service.
  • Experience in managing operational processes and team performance in a fast-paced, customer-facing environment.
  • Strong understanding of retail operations, business development, and strategic growth.
  • Comfortable working in a role that requires flexibility and adaptability, especially in a store that regularly hosts events.
