Solutions Architect

Job Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for working cross-functionally to understand architecture needs by multiple business units. To be effective in this position, you must feel comfortable owning the entire architecture development process from inception to completion.

Responsibilities:

1. Understand and demonstrate how Siemens solutions will alter and integrate with customers’ initiatives, business drivers, value, and impact
2. Analyze and translate business requirements into an architectural blueprint that outlines solutions that integrate across applications, systems, and platforms to achieve business objectives
3. Bring to bear industry standard methodologies and templates for the Siemens Software solution delivered to provide customer value
4. Lead the application of Solution Definition and Solution Enablement elements in customer environment
5. Provide accurate and timely information to project management team collaborating on reporting project status, issues, risks, and benefits
6. Establish, build, and maintain effective relationships with internal or external customers technical peers and build new relationships through networking within the customer and other involved parties to support effective delivery
7. Set and lead customers’ expectations, demonstrating thought leadership to optimally influence key contacts and recommend solutions
8. Drive Architect reviews and be overall responsible for aligning and coordinating new development initiatives for implementation in production
9. As a Teamcenter Solutions Architect, you will be responsible for the design and development of Teamcenter solutions confirming to business requirements
10. Be responsible for validation activities, including any required prototyping, with the customer to verify if the outstanding templated solution applies to the customers’ environment, rationalize, and defend selected solution to the customer explaining why and how this solution will deliver the highest value to their business
11. Outline process changes that will need to occur and assist the customer drive Organizational Change.

Work Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience from an accredited university or college, preferably with software engineering background; Advanced Degree may be substituted for shown experience
2. Multiple years designing Teamcenter or similar customer solutions
3. Minimum of 3-5 years technical experience as a Solution Architect
4. Minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
5. Expertise in Teamcenter UA Products such as Engineering Data Management, BOM Management Workflow, BOM Management, Change Management and more
6. Skills in mapping business requirements to PLM/Teamcenter framework
7. Teamcenter Solution Designing for both Client and Server and integration with third party applications such as SAP4Hana, NX and ECAD Tools
8. Experience in the technical leadership of large software implementation projects
9. Experience using Agile principles in project execution
10. Excellent written, presentation and verbal communication skills, to present sophisticated issues to multi-level audiences and optimally communicate progress, status, and issues to internal and external Customers
11. Shown team leadership skills
