This is a Global food manufacturing business, who are going through significant investment and growth. We are looking for an experienced Procurement Professional who has experience of purchasing Indirect- PPE, Laundry, Consumables across multi sites.
PURPOSE OF ROLE
You will be tasked to deliver the most optimum solution for the business in terms of cost, risk, sustainability, legislation and innovation.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Develop and implement category strategies.
- Ownership of sourcing process for defined own Indirect categories to create value, reduce risk, and support the company’s sustainability and innovation goals.
- Lead the process of regional/global tenders in order to ensure the business is paying the correct cost for its Indirect requirements.
- Identify, manage and deliver a pipeline of cost reduction, sustainability and risk initiatives in conjunction with relevant site teams.
- Understand key legislation in relation to the goods and services being procured.
- Manage all categories and associated suppliers, including performance management.
- Rationalise the supply base.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Your background covers a minimum of 7 years of strategic procurement experience. You have a solid understanding of the complexity of driving projects of various sizes, which you may have acquired from working with procurement or another relevant indirect field. You have a winning mentality and well-versed stakeholder management skills. You are a natural at developing strong relations with people across cultural borders and with various backgrounds. This includes applying a sound business understanding, an open mindset, strong collaboration skills and the ability to adapt your communication directly to all levels of the organization. You engage confidently with senior stakeholders, exercising sound judgement to protect our procurement policies. Personally, you see yourself as an outgoing, independently working change agent with a strong drive and win-win approach. You are motivated by achieving your goals both independently and in close collaboration with others. You are a team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
