The main responsibility of the Consultant is to assist in delivering regulatory compliance advisory services to clients in the Retail Lending vertical.
Responsibilities
- Support and lead on solutions to enable clients to meet their regulatory and operational obligations.
- Produce materials and activities for all aspects of client delivery such as training, reports, presentations, business gap analysis, project planning, risk management, and in-depth case reviews.
- Provide regulatory and risk-focused subject matter expertise as required.
- Provide leadership to the team.
Qualifications/Experience
This is not a financial crime role – This sits in the Governance, Risk, and Compliance team.
- Practical understanding of the UK FS sector and FCA agenda.
- Similar experience in a consultancy role and a strong retail lending industry background.
- Strong handle of the FCA handbook, in particular, COBS, SYSC, PRIN, MCOBS, ICOBS, etc.
- Strong analytical skills and problem-solving toolkit.
- Good work ethic and desire for continuous improvement.
- Outstanding communication skills – both written and oral.
