We are currently recruiting for a Mid-sized Consulting organsation.
Must be an R2R PROCESS OWNER for this role
We are seeking an R2R Senior Manager/Director to join our Shared Services Center in Bristol. This role will be responsible for managing the end-to-end financial close process, ensuring accurate reporting, compliance with accounting standards, and supporting continuous process improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
Month-End & Year-End Close:
- Execute month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in line with IFRS/GAAP standards.
General Ledger & Accounting:
- Maintain the general ledger and ensure proper classification of financial transactions.
- Reconcile key balance sheet accounts and resolve discrepancies.
- Support intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
Compliance & Controls:
- Ensure compliance with internal financial policies, SOX controls, and external regulatory requirements.
- Assist with internal and external audits, providing necessary documentation.
Process Improvements & Automation:
- Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency in the R2R process through automation and standardization.
- Support system enhancements and participate in finance transformation initiatives.
Stakeholder Collaboration:
- Work closely with finance, tax, treasury, and business teams to provide financial insights.
- Coordinate with shared services teams across geographies for alignment and best practices.
Key Requirements:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACCA/CIMA/CPA ).
Experience: 2-5 years in R2R, General Ledger Accounting, or Financial Reporting (preferably in a Shared Services or Global Business Services environment).
Technical Skills:
- Strong knowledge of IFRS/UK GAAP accounting principles.
- Proficiency in SAP, Oracle, or similar ERP systems.
- Advanced Excel skills for financial analysis and reporting.
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
