Role: Project Manager – Structured Cabling (Enterprise & Hyperscale Data Centres)

Location: London (with occasional travel to Europe)

Employment type: Permanent/full time

The Opportunity

Our client, a leading specialist in structured cabling and network infrastructure, is seeking an experienced Project Manager to oversee the delivery of structured cabling projects within enterprise and hyperscale data centre environments. Based in London, the role will require occasional travel across Europe to support project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end project delivery, from pre-construction and planning through to installation, commissioning, and handover.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, contractors, and internal teams, ensuring project objectives are aligned and delivered successfully.
  • Oversee the design and implementation of structured cabling solutions, ensuring compliance with industry standards such as TIA/EIA, BICSI, and ISO/IEC.
  • Monitor project risks, enforce health & safety compliance, and conduct regular site inspections to ensure quality control.
  • Manage project budgets, track costs, and oversee contract negotiations and change orders.
  • Lead on-site teams, ensuring efficient coordination and execution of project plans.
  • Support European project sites when required, maintaining consistency in delivery standards across regions.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience delivering structured cabling projects within enterprise or hyperscale data centre environments.
  • Strong technical knowledge of structured cabling systems, including fibre optic and copper infrastructure.
  • Familiarity with DCIM, network infrastructure, and IT services within data centre environments.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and stakeholders in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong commercial acumen with experience in contract management and cost control.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel across Europe when required.

Desirable Skills & Certifications:

  • BICSI RCDD or other structured cabling certifications.
  • Experience with hyperscale data centre operators or large enterprise clients.
  • Prince2, PMP, or other project management qualifications.
  • Understanding of MEP coordination in data centre builds.
