Job Description
Job Title: Interim Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer
Location: Bristol – Hybrid Working
A leading award-winning law firm is seeking an Interim Non-Contentious Construction Lawyer with expertise in Clean Energy and Projects.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of construction, commercial and/or projects experience within the clean energy sector, although the firm would also welcome applications from those with transactional experience within the sector.
This role involves working within a specialised team focusing on renewable energy, battery storage, distributed, and smart solutions. Key areas of experience include energy-from-waste, solar PV, wind power, CHP, zero emission vehicles, hydrogen, electricity networks, grid connections, and energy performance contracting.
Responsibilities:
- Handling power purchase agreements, battery optimisation and tolling contracts.
- Managing clean energy project developments, acquisitions and disposals.
- Overseeing low carbon support regimes and energy supply contracts.
- Arranging biogas offtake arrangements, Ofgem licensing, electricity regulation, and grid connection arrangements.
Familiarity with technologies such as solar PV, wind, hydro, battery storage, energy-from-waste, biogas, hydrogen, EV charging infrastructure, and district heating is advantageous.

This is a hybrid working role with office attendance required in Bristol (preference), Leeds or London.
Please note this role is Inside IR35 and paying a competitive rate.
