Mechanical Design Engineer – 4 day working week – Training Into Production Engineer
£40,000 – £50,000 + Flexitime + Training + Benefits

Are you a design engineer with 3D experience within a manufacturing / production environment? Are you looking for a new opportunity within a leading manufacturing organisation that can offer first class training and development into a production engineer to enhance your skillset and offer excellent progression routes?
Due to continued growth, my client is looking for a mechanical design engineer to join the team, working out of their state of the art facility near Workington. The successful applicant will have an excellent training programme in place to use your design background and become a production engineer. Once upskilled you will provide technical solutions to the production and engineering teams to ensure that the production site is operating as efficiently as possible. You will be responsible for creating new production processes and designs as well as overseeing new machinery and equipment design, purchases and installation.
The company is a very successful manufacturer who is at the forefront of their sector and is continuing to expand in every department. You will be joining a growing, loyal, and experienced engineering and manufacturing team within a company that prides itself on staff retention and development. This role offers flexible working hours and a 4 day working week if that would suit your lifestyle!
The Role:
- Providing Support and solutions to the engineering and manufacturing team
- Liaising with multiple teams to improve processes and designs
- Creating designs and specifications to enable the team to manufacture required equipment, meeting industry and company standards.
