Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Belfast

Salary: up to £38,000

Work Schedule: 4 day week

An excellent opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join one of NI’s most desirable manufacturing companies based in their Belfast site. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will participate in strategic projects across the company focusing on continuous improvement.

The Role:

• Identify, purchase and co-ordinate the installation of tooling, equipment, machinery and capital expenditure projects.
• Ensure that Design for Manufacture and Assembly principles are applied through the product development process.
• Ensure new product and process implementations meet safety requirements.
• Ensure accurate new product costing through Bill of Materials (BOM) and routing accuracy.
• Co-ordinate and implement complex engineering changes.

The Person:

• A degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical or Electrical engineering.
• 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
• Experience and knowledge of Six Sigma, Lean Manufacturing practices and/or APQP.
• Experience with assembly line balancing.
• Experience in 3D CAD.
