Job Description
Consultant Planning and Logistics – Aerospace Industry
Project Planning & Scheduling
- Develop and maintain integrated master schedules (IMS) for aerospace projects (e.g., aircraft production, maintenance, or system upgrades).
- Coordinate with design, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure alignment with project timelines.
- Utilize aerospace-specific planning tools (e.g., SAP, Primavera P6) to track deliverables and ensure compliance with industry standards (e.g., AS9100, FAA regulations).
Supply Chain & Logistics Management
- Design and implement logistics strategies for the procurement, storage, and distribution of aerospace components.
- Manage just-in-time (JIT) delivery processes to minimize lead times and inventory costs.
- Ensure traceability and compliance with aerospace regulatory requirements (e.g., ITAR, EAR).
Data Analysis & Performance Monitoring
- Analyse supply chain and production data to identify bottlenecks and recommend process improvements.
- Generate reports on key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on-time delivery (OTD), cost variance, and resource utilization.
- Use advanced analytics and simulation modelling to forecast logistics demands and optimize workflows.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication
- Collaborate with engineering, procurement, quality assurance, and external suppliers to synchronize project phases.
- Act as a liaison between aerospace manufacturers, regulatory bodies, and logistics providers.
- Facilitate regular project reviews and status updates for senior leadership and clients.
Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement
- Implement lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to optimize aerospace production and logistics.
- Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and adherence to tight delivery schedules.
