Job Description
Allen Lane are supporting a Local Authority in the Mid Sussex area on their recruitment for a Locum Planning Solicitor.
This is a unique opportunity for a fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with a proven track record in planning law to make a significant impact on the lives of our and the future of our district.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide expert legal advice, representation, and assistance across the Council on all aspects of Town and Country Planning law and related areas.
- Drafting section 106 agreements.
- Working on major development projects.
- Support Members and staff colleagues at public meetings and other forums as required.
- Contribute to the delivery of the Legal team’s Service Plan and the Council’s Corporate Plan.
- Assist in the effective operational management of the Legal Services team to ensure a high-quality, cost-effective legal service.
About You:
- Fully qualified Solicitor, Barrister, or Chartered Legal Executive with relevant professional qualifications.
- Proven specialist in planning law with a strong understanding of Town and Country Planning law.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
