Gas Engineer – ASHP
Salary: Starting from £40,000 per year + Van + Travel Time + Benefits
Location: Leeds, UK – Flexibility needed to travel out of area when required
Hours: Monday to Friday, with a rotating Saturday shift

Specialising in the design and installation of cutting-edge renewable systems, they are expanding their team and seeking a skilled and enthusiastic Gas Engineer to join their dynamic team in the North of England.

As a Gas Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the installation, maintenance and servicing of gas systems within domestic properties. The role will also involve working with renewable energy solutions such as Air Source Heat Pumps, making it ideal for someone looking to grow their career in the green energy sector.
You will be working within a supportive and forward-thinking team, providing excellent customer service while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, service and maintain gas systems, including ASHP systems in domestic settings
- Diagnose and repair faults in gas systems, ensuring compliance with current safety standard
- Install and maintain Air Source Heat Pumps (ASHP) and assist with the integration of renewable energy technologies into gas systems
- Conduct safety checks and gas inspections in line with industry regulations
- Carry out fault-finding and repairs on both traditional gas systems and renewable energy systems
- Ensure all work is completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and efficiency
- Work closely with the team to ensure projects are delivered on time and to customer satisfaction
- Complete necessary documentation and reports, ensuring accurate records are maintained
Qualifications and Experience:
- Gas Safe Registered
- CCN1 with appliances (min boilers, cookers, fires, water heaters)
- Unvented Hot Water Systems qualification (G3)
- Experience with ASHP installations and maintenance – desirable
- NVQ or City & Guilds Level 3 qualification in a relevant field
- Knowledge of renewable energy systems and their integration into existing gas system
- Experience in working with both domestic and commercial systems
- Ability to work in accordance with health and safety regulations
- Willingness to continuously update skills and knowledge in the renewable energy sector
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Strong problem-solving and fault-finding skills
- Full UK Driving Licence
