Job Title: Project Manager – Engineering

Hours: Flexi start / finish (and early finish Friday)

Location: Mainly site-based with hybrid working

Fantastic opportunity for a motivated Engineering Project Manager or Senior Project Engineer with experience in managing New Product Development Projects (NPD / NPI) to support a number of concurrent projects of varying sizes and complexity as part of a team of bright, highly motivated multi-disciplined engineers.

It’s an exciting period of development within the business, and as a result, the company has significant projects and needs a talented Project Manager to enable them to realize and deliver these projects while ensuring key budget, milestone, and performance targets are met.

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for working with multi-disciplined teams across manufacturing, engineering / R&D, supply chain, and quality to ensure milestones are met at each key gate / stage.

With responsibility for several new product development projects from cradle to grave, you will be accountable for the technical performance of projects spanning Planning and Control, coordination of multi-disciplined teams, process and efficiency improvements, safety, reliability, and procedural adherence. An engineering background is ideal as you will be supporting a highly skilled team of manufacturing, hardware, mechanical, and electronic engineers.

The position will suit either a talented HND / degree qualified Engineer (in either a mechanical, electro-mechanical, electrical, or related engineering discipline) or someone with commensurate industry experience, and:

• Proven experience of managing complex manufacturing projects / complex NPI / NPD projects within a production / engineering environment
• First-class influencing and presentation skills are required as this is a high visibility role
• Technical background in engineering / R&D
• A background of project managing within the engineering sector is essential
• Microsoft Project / MS Project / Prince 2, APMP, or similar project management expertise
