Job Description
Position: Electrical Design Engineer (Control Panels/ PLC)
Location: Corby
Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 OTE (£57K-75K) + Van + Pension + Private Medical Insurance + Career Development
Are you an experienced Electrical Design Engineer seeking a challenging role with an established company specializing in system integration and automation? Do you have a strong background in electrical design and a desire to work on innovative projects across industries like food, manufacturing, and energy?

Responsibilities:
- Develop initial concept designs in collaboration with customers and in-house teams.
- Create electrical schematic diagrams, panel layouts, and PLC wiring diagrams.
- Generate and maintain Bills of Materials (BOM) and order components.
- Perform machinery safety circuit design and risk assessments (BS EN ISO 13849/60261).
- Conduct LV distribution and cable calculations as needed.
Requirements:
- Proficiency in electrical drawings and fault-finding on existing systems.
- Basic understanding of PLC, HMI, and SCADA software; Siemens experience preferred.
- Familiarity with industrial networks (Profibus, Profinet, etc.).
- Willingness to work flexible hours and travel for projects when required.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
