Job Description

Position: Senior Design Manager / Design Lead

Company: Tier One Main Contractor

Salary: £85,000 – £95,000 & package

Amida are currently recruiting for a Design Lead/Senior Design Manager for a leading principal contractor in Central London. They have recently been awarded various major schemes across London including residential, commercial, and public realm buildings, which involve complex cut and carve and high-profile new build developments. You will need to have extensive experience of delivering schemes upward of £100M.

Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Driving all design-related project outcomes.
  2. Providing role-specific technical expertise in design management and acting as the focal point for all technical design-related matters on projects.
  3. Working closely with the project commercial manager to produce project-specific designer agreements, ensuring the designer\’s scope of works and design responsibilities are clearly defined and understood.
  4. Liaising with the project planner to produce, agree, and manage a realistic design programme to satisfy procurement and construction requirements.

They are looking for candidates with extensive multiple sector experience in delivering design management on differing building types. Individuals who understand how to identify risk within the design process and deliver a bid presentation successfully.
