Job Description
Job Title: Crane Installation Engineer (Dual-Skilled)
Location: Northampton
Start: ASAP
Type: PERM
Hours: 40 Overtime Available
Rate: £40,000 – £45,000 Overtime Options
Position Summary:
Join a small team responsible for the day-to-day organisation on site of the installation & commissioning of overhead cranes and associated products. Liaising with the technical services manager to achieve installation of the equipment in a safe manner, on time & within budget and to the satisfaction of the customer. Sometimes this will involve working at the manufacturing facility but mainly the role will be site-based working on our customers’ sites throughout the UK and occasionally overseas.
Experience / Qualifications:
- A comprehensive knowledge of 3 phase motor control systems including PLC’s & inverter control.
- Application of mechanical or electrical qualification with a heavy manufacturing environment NVQ level 3 or above.
- Ability to identify and resolve faults / required operational changes.
- A full UK driving licence is essential.
- Gantry Crane experience.
