Construction Contracts Manager/ Operations Manager – Wanted.
Are you an experienced Contracts Manager, Senior Project Manager/ Project Director looking to take the next step in your career? Do you have experience running multiple projects from values £1 million – £15 million in value with a main contractor across the commercial, residential, accommodation, and other sectors? If this sounds like you, we might have the role for you.
About the Company
Thatcher Associates are assisting an established Developer specialising in commercial and multi-storey residential projects who is looking to build their own in-house construction company. Working throughout the Devon, Somerset and surrounding areas with a great reputation for delivering complex, high quality schemes, this opportunity offers the chance to join the business as an Operations/Contracts Manager and progress into a Construction Director role in the near future. They have a close-knit management team in place who work well together, and we are looking for an accomplished Contracts Manager to join them who enjoys working within a team environment leading from the front.
About the Role
As Contracts Manager/ Operations Manager you will be responsible for a portfolio of projects throughout Somerset, Devon, Cornwall, and surrounding areas. You will have direct responsibility for multiple site teams, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, to specification, and within budget.
About You
You will either be an established Contracts Manager/ Operations Manager or Senior Project Manager with previous experience of having managed multiple projects. You will also feel comfortable liaising with clients directly, ensuring they are happy and their requirements are met throughout the build.
You will:
- Have an excellent track record of managing projects for a leading main contractor
- Have strong time-management, interpersonal, and communication skills
- Be educated to degree level or hold a similar qualification such as a HND or NVQ Level 6 (CIOB status is desirable)
- Have experience managing large or multiple teams
- Have experience in conducting team meetings
- Be happy to be client-facing when required
- Have a deep knowledge of Health & Safety policies and implement these on all sites
- Hold a valid CSCS card, SMSTS, and First Aid at Work certificates
