Job Description
*THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME ROLE || THIS IS A 1099 CONTRACTOR OPPORTUNITY FOR WYOMING*
Responsibilities:
- Conduct inspections and quality assessments of welding activities in accordance with project specifications and industry standards.
- Verify welding procedures, materials, and equipment used for compliance with approved specifications and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and evaluate welder qualifications and performance to maintain consistent quality in welding operations.
- Conduct visual, dimensional, and non-destructive testing (NDT) as required to assess weld quality and integrity.
- Prepare detailed inspection reports documenting weld quality, non-conformances, and corrective actions taken.
- Participate in weld procedure qualification and welding performance qualification tests as part of project quality assurance.
Technical Qualifications and Certifications:
- 5 years’ experience as a Welding Inspector.
- Certifications needed are API, AWS, CWI, NDT.
- Welding Inspector (Oil and Gas) – Conduct inspections and quality assessments of welding activities in accordance with project specifications and industry standards such as ASME, API, Aramco, and AWS to ensure adherence to quality and safety protocols.
Industry Experience:
- 5 years of experience in welding inspection within the oil and gas industry, with a strong understanding of welding processes and procedures.
- Proficiency in interpreting welding symbols, blueprints, and technical drawings.
- Thorough knowledge of welding codes and standards.
- Strong attention to detail and analytical skills for accurate inspection and assessment of weld quality.
Contract Type: 1099 contract (Part Time)
Shift Hours: Flexible, dependent on the project. May include full-day shifts or partial-day inspections based on project needs.
