Performance Calibration Engineer Contract role in Peterborough
Performance Calibration Engineer sought for a manufacturing environment. You will be familiar with engine performance development. The role is a mix of new product development and improving current models. The environment aims for efficiencies in quality improvement and cost reduction.
Responsibilities
- Delivery of engine performance development and validation
- Adopting new technologies and processes (automation, robotics, computer-aided manufacturing software, etc.) to achieve greater efficiency, cost reduction, and quality improvement.
- Planning and improving engineering procedures and operations to make the product or process more reliable, efficient, and cost-effective.
- Collaborating with all functional areas to provide a design solution that meets the requirements of the customer and dealer network.
Experience Required
- Degree in an accredited Engineering, Computer Science, or Materials Science curriculum.
- Experience with Cameo or AVL software or similar.
- Performance and emissions calibrations.
- Engine performance development and validation.
- New product development and maintaining existing products.
- Support with testing and capturing data.
- Engine development from off-highway or automotive sectors.
- Analytical thinking – Uses flow charts, Pareto charts, fish diagrams.
