Job Description
B level Automotive Service Technician:
- Identify problems, often by using computerized diagnostic equipment
- Plan work procedures, using charts, technical manuals, and experience
- Test parts and systems to ensure that they work properly
- Follow checklists to ensure that all critical parts are examined
- Perform basic care and maintenance, including changing oil, checking fluid levels, and rotating tires
- Repair or replace worn parts, such as brake pads, wheel bearings, and sensors
- Perform repairs to manufacturer and customer specifications
- Explain automotive problems and repairs to clients
You will be doing various jobs from brakes and oil changing to suspension work, engine/transmission swaps, timing belts, and so on. We work on all makes and models, as well as some equipment, trailers, and heavy-duty work vehicles such as box trucks, class 5-7s, and semis. Being able to do more such as diagnostics is a plus but not a requirement. A good attitude goes a long way as well. You must have a good work ethic, be able to work independently, complete a job in a timely manner, and follow all company policies. It’s a requirement to have previous experience, a good driving record, and a complement of your own tools. Pay will be discussed in person but I pay according to experience and abilities. We are a fast-paced and growing shop looking to add someone who fits our qualifications.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience as an automotive technician, mechanic, or other related fields
- Knowledge of diagnostic and repair equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills
- Deadline and detail-oriented
