Test & Inspection Engineer

Pertemps are excited to be working with a leading provider of specialist services who are recruiting for a Test & Inspection Engineer to cover the Portsmouth area. This is a full-time permanent role and is fully field-based in the Portsmouth and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities:

1. Conduct comprehensive Electrical installation condition reports in commercial and industrial environments.
2. Inspect and test electrical systems, including wiring, circuits, switchgear, and control equipment.
3. Identify and document defects, non-compliance, and potential safety hazards.
4. Ensure all inspections are carried out in accordance with relevant standards and regulations.
5. Ensure all inspection tools and equipment are maintained and calibrated as required.
6. Communicate effectively with clients to explain findings, answer questions, and provide technical advice.

Requirements:

1. A minimum of 3 years of experience in electrical inspection or related field.
2. City & Guilds 2391-52 or equivalent in Inspection and Testing.
3. NVQ Level 3.
4. 18th Edition.
5. In-depth knowledge of BS 7671, IET Wiring regulations, and other relevant standards and codes.
6. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
7. Valid UK Driving licence.

The Role:

1. Salary of £38,000 + Bonus.
2. OTE £45,000 – £55,000.
3. Fully expensed company van.
4. Monday to Friday.
5. Additional Night work available and an increased rate.
6. Full-time permanent salary.
