Job Description

Our client, a well-established UK-based manufacturer of water storage systems, is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to join their team. This role offers a salary of up to £50,000 per year (£60,000 OTE), up to 20% company-wide bonus, a company car, and a 4.5-day workweek with an early finish on Friday.

The successful candidate will have strong connections within the UK water and wastewater utilities sector, focusing on above-ground water tanks, working with major UK water companies and contractors. Your role will be to lead growth, manage relationships, and secure new contracts.

About the Role

  1. Take full ownership of the sales process from lead generation to project completion.
  2. Focus on new business development and project-based work with UK water companies and contractors.
  3. Maintain and expand relationships with key accounts.
  4. Engage in a field-based role with regular UK travel, including customer visits and on-site meetings.
  5. Collaborate with internal teams to develop technical solutions ensuring high standards of delivery.
  6. Contribute to building and advising on the growth of a commercial and technical team within the division, including future hiring plans.
  7. Opportunity for long-term growth into a director position.

About You

  • You have a technical sales background in the water or wastewater industry.
  • You are well connected within the UK water industry.
  • You possess a strong understanding of water utilities and their supply chains.
  • You are comfortable driving new business and managing complex, multi-stage projects.
  • You are familiar with key industry players and processes.
  • A full UK driving licence is required.
  • Ideally, you are within a commutable distance to Essex, though this is not essential.
