Position: Structural Engineer
Location: Milton Keynes
Salary: £40k-£45k plus benefits
Are you a talented Structural Design Engineer looking for a new role in Milton Keynes? Come join the Building Engineering Team in our client’s Milton Keynes office and enjoy hybrid and agile working options. The role offers a great opportunity to advance your career while working on innovative residential and mixed-use development projects.
You will work across a range of sectors, including residential, logistics, retail, and healthcare amidst a team dedicated to finding the perfect balance between form and function while tackling challenges related to sustainability, materials, cost, and constructability.
Main Responsibilities:
- Producing structural designs for residential and mixed-use projects of various complexities, both independently and as part of a team.
- Conducting site visits and assisting with structural surveys, investigations, and repair schemes for a variety of issues, including foundation problems and fire damage.
- Managing projects from start to finish, including financial responsibility and proposal preparation.
- Collaborating with senior stakeholders and clients to ensure the successful delivery of projects.
About You:
- A degree (or equivalent) in Civil or Structural Engineering, ideally working towards chartership with the ICE, IStructE, or an equivalent body.
- Solid experience designing foundations, masonry, concrete, steel, and timber structures to Eurocode standards.
- Experience working within the residential market, including both traditional and framed structures.
- Experience with structural investigations for low to medium-rise residential buildings.
- Proficiency in design software such as Tekla (including Tekla Designer and Tedds), AutoCAD, and Revit.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to make independent decisions.
