The predicted salary is between 43200 - 72000 £ per year.

CMDP is a joint venture between Costain and MWHT and delivers a range of schemes to maintain and improve Southern Water's water supply and wastewater treatment works in the eastern half its region (Kent & Sussex). CMDP has recently had its contract to provide capital delivery services to Southern Water renewed for the next seven years. This coincides with Southern Water embarking on their most far-reaching and ambitious investment programme since privatisation in 1989. Consequently, CMDP is expecting a significant increase in the number and size of projects it will deliver on behalf of Southern Water. Key to success at both the framework and project level is effective risk management. This is the ideal time to review, refresh, upgrade and implement changes to the way CMDP manages risk. The Head of Risk will design, implement and maintain a risk management framework; one that is commensurate with an organisation of CMDP's size and turnover.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement an enterprise risk management strategy across CMDP.
  • Ensure risk management processes and policies are fit for purpose.
  • Support CMDP staff at all levels to implement and comply with risk management processes and policies.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders including management from CMDP, its parent companies, Southern Water, as well as project management teams.
  • Monitor compliance with risk management processes and policies.
  • Develop and implement risk reporting including key risk indicators (KRIs) at project and framework level across CMDP.

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of risk management procedures, practices & techniques.
  • Understanding of planning, budgeting, change control, earned value and other project controls techniques.
  • Demonstrable ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with senior stakeholders.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, facilitation and presentation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Good written and oral communication including delivery of high-quality reports, analysis results.
  • Passion for delivering innovative and excellent client service.
  • Proficient in use of MS Office suite (Word / Excel / PowerPoint).
