Job Summary
As a Senior Project Manager, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of client projects globally, overseeing all phases from initial planning through to commissioning. This role demands commercial and technical expertise, along with strong project management skills. You will act as client representative and primary point of contact for customers and external stakeholders, bridging cultural and geographical to ensure alignment and success across teams and projects.
Role & Responsibilities
Project Planning and Execution
- Develop detailed project plans including schedules, budgets, and resource allocation, ensuring alignment with company objectives and client needs.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to deliver project goals within defined timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress, identify risks or deviations from plans, and implement corrective actions to ensure successful project outcomes.
Stakeholder Management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders, maintaining strong relationships and addressing issues promptly.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables, ensuring alignment with expectations.
- Provide regular project updates and reports, keeping stakeholders informed of project status, milestones, and key decisions.
Internal Coordination
- Facilitate communication and alignment between project teams, departments, and stakeholders, ensuring clear understanding of project objectives and deliverables.
- Lead regular coordination meetings and workshops to address project progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Coordinate internal resources, including technical experts and support staff, to optimize workflows and enhance efficiency.
Technical Expertise
- Apply technical knowledge in boiler combustion and biogas technologies to support project planning, design, and implementation.
- Evaluate project specifications, providing technical recommendations and solutions to meet client needs and regulatory standards.
- Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in renewable energy and clean technology.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare and maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes, action items, and progress reports.
- Compile and analyze project data for reporting to senior management and stakeholders, tracking resource utilization, performance, and budgets.
- Identify trends and recommend process improvements to enhance project efficiency.
Quality Assurance and Compliance
- Ensure project deliverables meet or exceed quality standards and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to verify compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and environmental regulations.
- Document and address any non-conformities or deviations from quality standards, taking corrective actions to maintain project integrity.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and motivate project teams, providing support and direction to achieve project goals.
- Foster a collaborative work environment, encouraging innovation and continuous improvement.
- Identify training and development opportunities for team members to enhance their skills and contributions to project objectives.
Skills and Qualifications
- Ideally 5 years of proven project management experience, ideally within the energy sector.
- Technical background in boiler combustion and/or biogas technologies , with hands-on experience in project execution.
- Strong ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficiency in project management tools and software applications.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work across diverse teams and cultures.
