Job Description The Senior Project Engineer maintains overall design responsibility for specific Projects to which he/she has been assigned, and is the Primary contact for the Project Manager, Workshops, Vendors, and the Client. JOB DUTIES/RESPONSABILITIES: Primary Client/Client Engineer Technical Contact. Detailed Mechanical Design. Preparation and Issuance of Engineering RFQs/Requisitions in a timely manner. Submission of Company Drawings and Documents per Contract Specification. Coordination of Engineering Deliverables from other Suppliers. Maintain the Project Job Folder. Interaction with Company Project Management and Workshops. Close-Out and archiving of all Project Documentation. Responsible for mechanical/structural design in compliance with customer specifications and industry standards. Attend technical meetings with client and workshops. Document company design/engineering standards and create new templates for future use. Conduct presentation and training sessions. Develop new ideas and design concepts to reduce cost. Complete engineering consulting activities based on technical capabilities and experience. Review and approve all vendor documents and drawings. Review customer specifications and identify project requirements, create a summary of the specification to be used by the designers/drafters. Provide technical assistance to design engineers, drawing office, and workshops. Review and disposition Non-Conformance Reports generated by the Manufacturing Facilities. Work with department manager to update and maintain the Consolidated Engineering Schedule. Preparation and issuance of requisitions for long lead items, specialty products, and accessories. Generate job specific Installation and Operations Manual and submit to the client. Perform Design Verification to ensure that design output meets the client specification. Conduct training for employees and assist in leading product development. EDUCATION: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nuclear, Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering. EXPERIENCE: 5+ years of relevant experience. Working with manufacturing company in the field of design and drafting. Design experience in heat transfer products. Communication skills, teamwork, understanding of responsibilities. Detail-oriented. Excellent Organizational and Analytical Skills. Excellent technical writing skills. Ability to work under deadlines. CERTIFICATES & LICENSURES: Chartered Engineer (CEng) status is preferred. COMPUTER SKILLS: Proficient in Drafting: AutoCAD, Solidworks, Inventor. Strong knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel. Programming: Excel, Visual Basic.
