Job Description
Senior Fire Engineer in Central London, joining a growing Fire Engineering team of a leading fire and compliance consultancy. Offering hybrid working and a collaborative and progressive work environment. Salary of £70,000 – £85,000 + Bonus + 29 Days Holiday + Hybrid Working.
Their team of 40 specialise in health, safety, fire and environment and offer a broad range of compliance consultancy services for the built environment, corporate governance and day-to-day business delivery. The role will be leading on Fire Engineering projects whilst remaining hands on in project delivery and mentoring junior Fire Engineers. Reporting to the Associate Director, the role will play a key part in driving the Fire Engineering department forward as they continue to take on exciting projects across residential, commercial, education, hotels, retail and heritage.
Role & Responsibilities
- Mentor Fire Engineers when required
- Take lead on multiple projects from design through to implementation
- Following RIBA stages of work
- Fire engineering design and analysis
- Fire Strategies
- CFD Modelling
- Attend internal, client and design team meetings both remotely and in person/on-site.
Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in Fire Engineering or similar
- 5+ years’ experience in Fire Engineering within a consultancy
- Chartered Fire Engineer (CEng) or working towards
- Experience in delivering fire engineered solutions for UK based projects
- UK Fire Code knowledge
- Excellent report writing skills
- Excellent mentoring/management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Ability to travel into the office 1 day per week and based near good transport links to London.
