Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer – Colchester – Up to £63,000

A leading electronics engineering company is looking for a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to lead complex product development projects, designing and testing high-performance hardware solutions.

What You\’ll Do:

• Define product specifications with Product Management
• Lead the design of digital, analogue, and RF hardware using Altium Designer
• Perform component selection, simulation, and testing
• Debug and validate hardware using lab equipment (oscilloscopes, logic analysers)
• Collaborate with mechanical/software teams for integration
• Manage full product development life cycle from concept to production
• Mentor junior engineers and provide technical support
• Ensure designs meet industry standards and regulatory requirements

What You\’ll Need:

• Bachelor\’s/Master\’s degree in Electronic Engineering (or equivalent experience)
• Proven experience as a Senior Electronic Hardware Design Engineer
• Expertise in Altium Designer , schematic capture, and PCB layout
• Strong knowledge of RF, high-speed signal design, EMI/EMC, and power management
• Hands-on debugging skills using lab equipment
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams
• Knowledge of FPGA design (VHDL, Verilog) or Microcontroller systems is a plus
