Job Description
Air Safety Consultant
New opportunity available for an Air Safety Consultant to join an industry leading Aerospace and Defence company offering impartial and objective counsel in Military Aviation Certification, Airworthiness, and Safety Management.
- Hybrid role – 2 days a week in Bristol
- £40,000 to £65,000
- SC clearance required or the ability to obtain it
What will the Air Safety Consultant be doing?
We are looking for consultants with a strong background in the Defence market to offer expertise and direction in the development of aviation certification, airworthiness, and safety management solutions for our clients. An ideal candidate should have knowledge in Safety Critical Systems Engineering, considering both organizational and physical systems to ensure the safety of people, equipment, and the environment from unnecessary harm.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leadership of major certification management assignments
- Provision of safety, airworthiness, technical evaluation and certification artefacts
- Developing Aviation Certification, Airworthiness, and Safety Management solutions
We need the Air Safety Consultant to have the following…
- Understanding and application of the following of MAA Regulatory Publications
- Experience working to the Military Air System Certification Process
- Application of Defence Standard 00-970, Certification Specifications or Federal Aviation Regulations
- An Understanding of the ASPIRE framework/tool
- Military aviation hazard/accident management
- A proven track record in developing Safety Management solutions at various levels (enterprise, platform, or system).
