One of our FTSE 250 clients is looking for a SAP Technical Consultant to support the current SAP technical/functional footprint.

Role: SAP Technical Consultant

12 Month FTC (Fixed-Term Contract)

Hybrid role: Predominantly remote with ad hoc travel to an office

The Hiring Manager describes this role as: "A critical role to support the current SAP Technical/Functional footprint, ensuring the SAP development solutions are maintained and supported in line with the current standards. This includes third-line issue management, scheduling of jobs, maintenance of key data elements and interfaces to other systems."

Key Requirements:

  • Experience as a SAP Technical Consultant supporting SAP technical/functional footprints.
  • Experience of design, development, and implementation of robust SAP and ABAP solutions.
  • SAP configuration experience needed.
  • Background in finance and understanding of finance processes ideal.
  • Experience in SAP UI Technologies (Fiori, UI5, ABAP DN) with knowledge of SAP Output development technologies (SAPScript / Smartforms).
  • Good functional knowledge of key SAP modules - HR, FICO, SD, MM.
  • Ability to code SAP enhancements and maintain quality design, code, and test documentation.
  • Excellent verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for SAP technical solution delivery and participate in full suite of testing from a technical perspective to verify that programs follow standards and meet technical specifications.
  • Maintain and develop existing SAP development solutions ensuring compliance with internal and external development standards.
  • Working as part of a dedicated SAP technical team collaborating with functional consultants, Project Managers, and key business SMEs.
  • Participate in all phases of software development and delivery, including research, prototyping, design, architecture, implementation, testing, deployment, and support.
