Agratas is a wholly owned subsidiary of Tata Sons. We will design, develop and manufacture high-quality, high-performance, sustainable batteries for the mobility and energy sectors. We are a scale-up business with a start-up mentality and the backing of a well-established parent company. We have a state of the art R&D facility in Oxfordshire and are currently looking to complement our highly skilled team with the brightest minds from within the battery sector.
The Opportunity
Cell Technology – Slurry and Electrode
We are looking for a number of Process Engineers with expertise in Anode and/or Cathode battery cell processing to apply critical thinking skills to resolve quality issues. We require scientists and engineers with a strong understanding of active material properties to accelerate our formulation and process development.
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Fundamental understanding of Slurry making, Slot die coating and calendaring to make Anodes for Lithium-ion Batteries at pilot or production scale
- Expertise in Cathode fabrication processes and principles involved in mixing
- Ability to maintain accurate records, create control plans and work instructions to be able to train others
- Hands on experience in operating equipment used in mixing, coating and calendering processes
- PhD in Chemical Engineering or Material Science
