Start Week: June 16th, 2025 End Week: Aug 11th, 2025(Looking for an individual to work a minimum of 4 weeks)

Shift Hours: Monday: 7:30am-3:30pm, Tuesday-Thursday: 8:30am-3:30pm, Friday: 8:30am-4:00pm. *Opportunities for before and after care with additional pay at certain locations

Job Location: (Travel to different locations every week/two weeks)

MA Metro North: Burlington, Danvers, Medford, Melrose, Reading, Wakefield

Job Overview

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree required or equivalent life experience
  • Comfortable with technology
  • Prior experience working with children in a leadership position
  • Camp experience
  • CPR certification and First Aid training must be completed prior to the start of summer
  • Must pass a background records check
  • Ability to lift at least 35 lbs.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring the safe operation and instruction of all program activities
  • Leading daily staff meetings, managing sign-in and pick-up, and following all policies and procedures
  • Maintaining accurate, up to date records, finances; submitting reports and evaluations on time as requested.
  • Helping families with questions, concerns, and requests
  • Becoming competent to step in and instruct ages 4-5, ages 6-8, and ages 9-13 programs
  • Being a positive role model for children and staff, and arriving every day with an inclusive, professional, and upbeat attitude
  • Working with a group of children and providing a fun, safe, and exciting camp experience
  • Supervising counselors and counselors in training in a supportive manner
  • Managing all instructors, campers, and CITs
  • Assigning counselors and counselors in training to specific tasks
  • Establishing emergency rules and safety procedures with children and staff
  • Managing parent expectations by knowing your campers and conversing with parents at pick-up and drop-off times
  • Managing any issues that may arise including, but not limited to, camper behavior issues, parent complaints, etc.
  • Checking in with the Regional Director to update them on your program and any issues you may be encountering
  • Access to a reliable vehicle and ability to transport 5-7 bags of equipment to locations
  • Enthusiastic, Responsible, Dependable, Level-Headed, Flexible, and Calm in all situations

Our summer programs run for one week long, Monday through Friday, 9 AM – 3 PM. We offer separate classes for children of all ages to ensure that learning occurs and students are engaged.
