The predicted salary is between 28800 - 48000 £ per year.

Reporting to the NPD Manager, the Process Technologist will act as a key link between the product development and the production line.

THE PROCESS TECHNOLOGIST ROLE

  • Ensure the smooth scale up and manufacturing process development for new products as part of the concept to launch process, ensuring the technical and quality standards are achieved.
  • Challenge current factory processes and look for continuous improvement, efficiency, and value engineering opportunities to achieve product quality consistently.
  • Identify & help launch new technologies to enable the delivery of the company Product Innovation Strategy.
  • Plan, organise, and carry out factory trials as part of the EPD and NPD programmes.
  • Lead continuous improvement initiatives across all company product & process portfolio and work closely with the Technical, Operations & Engineering teams, ensuring effective implementation of changes.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE

  • We’re looking for a candidate that shows enthusiasm, initiative and is well-organised and reliable.
  • You will be a passionate, driven 'foodie' with an excellent understanding of fast-paced food manufacturing processes.
  • Product consistency throughout the process is essential to meet customer requirements.
  • Degree in Food Science, Chemical Engineering or related subject, alongside previous experience of working within FMCGs in the food manufacturing sector.
  • Working knowledge of food manufacturing, ideally including raw material preparation (i.e., washing, slicing, etc.), extrusion, frying, baking, sheeting, and flavouring processing in either an NPD, Process or Development Technologist role.
