Job Description Practice Lead – Datacentre Infrastructure Consultant Salary: Up to £101,000 Package: Bonus & Excellent employee benefits Hybrid Model: Remote with infrequent travel to London / Portsmouth (~2 days a month) Type of Role: Consultant About the Role: My client, a leading IT Services organisation, is seeking a top-class consultant with subject matter expertise in large-scale Datacentre Infrastructure (DCI) to act as the leading figure of Data Centre infrastructure within an already world-class team of DC professionals. The candidate will be expected to provide the highest level of consultation and act as a technical authority throughout huge scale projects for various major clients. They must be an SME of DCI and provide consultancy on every level, from providing initial and ongoing technical architecture to the projects, acting as point of contact to key stakeholders, to see projects through to completion. Ideal Candidate: Must come from a large-scale consultancy background and have heavy experience leading/overseeing multiple teams & governing major DC infrastructure projects. SME of Data Centre infrastructure. Excellent team/project leadership abilities (NOT a manager). Strong experience in the design/architecture of Datacentre Infrastructure. Ability to be recognised as the ‘go-to’ DC technical guru within the departments. Team Structure: The candidate will be Principal over 6 related DC teams consisting of currently 70+ employees. Technology: Relevant DC infrastructure Tech: Network, Compute, VMware, Hyper-V, Linux.
