Location: York, SC – Onsite

Type of Hiring: Contract (12 Months +)

Job Description:

The PLC Control Engineer will be responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of automated control systems for industrial applications. This position will involve hands-on work with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and integration with SCADA systems. The engineer will also work with Ignition for automation software, utilizing programming such as SQL Server for database integration, and web technologies like HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for interface design.

Key Responsibilities:

  • PLC Programming & Troubleshooting: Develop and modify PLC programs to control machinery and systems, ensuring they operate efficiently and safely.
  • HMI Design & Development: Create and implement user interfaces (HMIs) for operators to interact with control systems.
  • Automation Systems Integration: Integrate PLC systems with SCADA systems and other automation tools to ensure smooth operation of manufacturing or industrial processes.
  • Ignition Platform: Work with the Ignition platform for SCADA, HMI, and control system integration.
  • Database Management: Utilize SQL Server for data storage and retrieval, ensuring proper functioning of automation systems that rely on databases.
  • Web Technologies: Develop and enhance web interfaces with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript for ease of system control and monitoring.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Strong experience with PLC programming and control systems.
  • Proficiency in HMI development.
  • Familiarity with Ignition SCADA system and integration with PLCs.
  • Experience with SQL Server for managing and querying industrial data.
