An internationally recognised law firm is seeking a Shipping Litigation Associate (1–4 PQE) to join its leading Maritime & International Trade team in London. This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a dynamic team handling complex, high-value disputes across both wet and dry shipping matters, including charterparty, bill of lading, ship arrest, salvage, and collision claims.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Advising on a broad range of contentious shipping matters (wet and dry)
  • Managing cases involving cross-border litigation and arbitration
  • Working closely with senior partners and clients from global shipowners, charterers, P&I clubs, and insurers
  • Drafting pleadings, witness statements, and attending hearings
  • Instructing Counsel and coordinating with overseas lawyers

  • UK-qualified solicitor with 1–4 years' PQE in shipping litigation
  • Strong experience with both wet and dry matters
  • Commercially minded with excellent communication skills
  • Experience in international arbitration and/or High Court litigation
  • A proactive and team-oriented approach
