Aquinas Consulting is looking to fill a Lead Hardware Engineer job for our direct client. In this role, you will lead a team of up to six engineers, providing technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams. You will ensure trade studies, architectures, technical analysis, and engineering methodologies are properly followed while interacting with cross-functional teams and internal/external customers. Due to the nature of this job, you MUST be a US citizen and hold an ACTIVE Secret Clearance.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead a hardware engineering team of up to six engineers.
- Provide technical and programmatic leadership for hardware design and support teams.
- Ensure quality control, proper engineering processes, and technical analysis.
- Coordinate with First Line Managers to ensure appropriate staffing.
- Act as Cost Account Manager, providing Earned Value updates for all hardware engineering work packages.
- Interface with internal and external customers to address technical issues, program planning, and field support.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Computer Engineering.
- 9+ years of detailed hardware development experience.
- Proficiency in CREO and hardware design methodologies.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience working on complex systems.
- Cross-functional or Integrated Product Team leadership experience.
- Experience with Earned Value Management, Basis of Estimate (BOE), and proposal development is a plus.
- Active Secret Security Clearance required to start.
